Victoria Celebration for Mike date set:

Hello everyone,

We have a date (apologies for short notice) for Mike's celebration of life:

Saturday, March 14, 2009
1:00-3:00 - or however late
1444 Begbie Street (Jo Vipond's house)
across from Stadacona Park

Mike's Mom and sister, Sheila will be coming up from Washington for the day, and many others from all crazy corners of Mike's life will be showing up. If you are reading this and don't know any of Mike's friends and acquaintances, please don't feel inhibited. There will be friends from school, work and family. Many of us won't know eachother but it's an opportunity to share a few stories, laughs and recollections of Mike and his spirited life.

If able, please bring some food to share and if you wish to toast with a glass (1:00 was never too early!) please bring a bottle.

 If you have photos or items that remind you of Mike (songs, too), please bring them for a temporary Mike memory table.

 And Grant Henderson is bringing the guitar!!



We will be putting a small ad in the TC this week to let others know.

Victoria Celebration of Mike's Life

Hello friends and family of Mike,

I've spoken with Mike's Mom and sister and they'll not be available til mid-late February as they still have much to do in Washington. So we will wait until they are ready.

I will contact those of you who I have already spoken to personally - with a weekend date sometime after February 14. Mike's old friend Nurse Jo has offered her home for the event. It will be very casual with plenty of wine and food. 

Sharing old stories and adventures is part of the celebration and I'm certain that these will make Mrs. Duggan smile. Try to flash back for a good Mike yarn, it shouldn't be hard. :)

For those from out of town or country, we welcome you - Jo's address is 1444 Begbie Street

Catholic Mass at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church

A Catholic Mass will be held on January 10, 2009 at St Cecilia Catholic Church on Bainbridge Is., at 10:00 AM
Refreshments to Follow.

Hello Friends of Michael Duggan,
I am creating this Blog to inform all of you of Michaels passing January 2, 2009.
He was at home, and drifted off to sleep.
For those of you who did not know, Mike was diagnosed with ALS Lou Gerigs in 2007.
